My own view of globalization.

Globalization is something very interesting, sometimes you only think of it when you talk about exports, imports, migration, etc... For me, it is more than that.

At the beginning of 2021, my family was having some money issues, however, the only thing I was doing was studying and playing video games. I wanted to have a job, but the problem was that I should have time also for my studies, and most of the jobs demand a specific workday.

One day I was looking at YouTube, fortunately, I saw a channel of a Bartender with almost 200.000 subscribers called "Raul Bartender" a guy from Venezuela that lives in the USA. I thought something like "why not tell him if he needed a video editor?" and BOOOOM, my dream job. He pay me 10 dollars per video edited (a video took me like 6 hours to have ready) which is like 40.000 COP, (more a minimum wage in Colombia) and the best thing is that I can work in the time that I want, wherever I want and I do not have a specific workday.

One day, a brand offered him a promotional video of coffee liquor, as it was a paid promotion, he paid me 100$ just for that video.

This situation is a very good example in which globalization helps me in my personal life, and basically how can connect people all around the world and how can they easily create life opportunities. :)

  1. This is a perfect example of how globalization can open doors for people where geographic location is no longer a relevant factor. It is very interesting to read your story of how you took the initiative and how that presented an opportunity in your life, which could also serve as an inspiration to others about how globalization and the technological advances that it brought can help to connect people and opportunities around the world.
